Summary of Principal Functions: The Mount Penn Preserve Partnership (MP3) Communications/Marketing Intern will be responsible for the development and implementation of a multi-platform, marketing and communications strategy, heavily focused on social media.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assist in analyzing the audience and appropriate social media platforms
· Develop a social media calendar
· Assist with the expansion of MP3’s social media strategy;
· Help enhance and strengthen MP3’s social media presence on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others;
· Develop digital content including blog posts, e-mail blasts, and social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn);
· Assist with editorial management and influencer outreach;
· Assist with social media metrics reporting, utilizing tools such as Facebook Analytics, HootSuite, etc.;
· Identify opportunities for MP3 to expand its social media presence;
· Execute marketing programs, analyze their success, and recommend improvements
· Identify emerging trends in the digital space and provide recommendations on execution;
· Provide proactive, creative ideas to integrate fundraising into MP3’s strategic vision;
· Develop strategy/mechanism to solicit reviews and “stories” to share on social media;
· Photograph or take videography of areas of MP3 to share on social media
· Identify strategies to enhance and strengthen Berks County Planning Commission’s (BCPC) social media presence
· Develop social media posts for BCPC
· Develop social media strategies for BCPC
Meeting Attendance
· Participate in monthly virtual MP3 Marketing Meetings with full Committee
· Participate in bi-weekly virtual progress update meetings
Education Needed: Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited school or university and currently pursuing a degree in English, Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or other relevant major.
Experience Needed: No previous experience required.
