Copywriter
New Pig is seeking a talented and versatile Copywriter to join its Creative Team. This position is responsible for writing and editing copy across a range of different media, from traditional direct marketing to modern digital platforms. The successful candidate’s workload could include product literature, catalogs, trade publications, web pages, email campaigns, online marketplaces and other customer touchpoints.
What you will be doing:
- Write strong, concise marketing copy to educate, persuade and/or motivate based on strategic requirements
- Consolidate and distill input from a variety of sources to identify key points around which to develop, refine and hone messaging
- Participate in group brainstorm sessions and contribute ideas to help develop new concepts and campaigns
- Maintain brand voice and tone through all projects
- Collaborate, accept feedback and iterate work until it meets approval
- Work with product development team to maintain a thorough knowledge of features and benefits
- Proofread creative materials to ensure they are error free
- Help evaluate and improve internal processes, standards and guidelines
- All other duties as assigned
Ideal candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Communications or related field
- Prefer two (2) years’ experience in advertising/marketing/catalog copywriting OR equivalent combination of education and experience in the field; also willing to consider new college graduates with relevant pre-professional experience
- Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously within set deadlines
- Must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite for Mac a plus
- Experience with business-to-business (B2B) marketing in manufacturing/industrial/energy a plus
