Nurse (35 Hour) - 3rd Shift

We at Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH), are seeking qualified Nurses (PCNs 112193 and 114158) to work in our General Psychiatry Division, located at 1000 Silver Street in Middletown. These positions are full-time, 35 hours per week, third shift roles. The work schedule is from 11:15 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with a 72-72-72 rotation, with every other weekend and holidays. These positions are located in the following units:

  • Woodward 2 South is a co-ed unit specializing in assessment and treatment of clients with both mental illness and an acquired brain injury (ABI).
  • Battell 4 North is an all-male transitional rehabilitation unit treating patients with a range of psychiatric diagnoses and symptoms. The goal of treatment is on transition and reintegration into the community.

The Connecticut Valley Hospital boasts a rich history first opening its doors over 150 years ago in 1868. As the State’s public hospital we provide treatment of mental illness and currently comprised of 18 inpatient units over two campuses (Middletown and Hartford). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Incumbents in this class must possess and retain a license or temporary permit as a Registered Professional Nurse in Connecticut.
