The State of Connecticut, Department of Children and Families (DCF), is seeking a highly skilled and qualified Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Program Supervisor who will work in our Clinical and Community Consultation Division. This position is responsible for the oversight of several IPV services offered by the Department throughout the state and is located in our Central Office, at 505 Hudson Street, Hartford, CT. Additionally, this is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday position.
- Post-pandemic this role will have expectations of statewide travel
- However, work schedule flexibility is required in order to meet the demands of the job

Our IPV mission strives to promote healthy relationships through a dedication to ongoing growth, effective communication, and mutual respect in homes free from IPV. Through a state and local coordinated response, providing a full continuum of IPV services offers the best opportunity for the safety and well-being of children. This includes:
- Oversight of a comprehensive response to IPV that offers meaningful and sustainable assistance to families that is safe, respectful, trauma‐informed, culturally relevant, in their preferred language, and responsive to the unique strengths and concerns of the families impacted by IPV
- Program development and oversight of several in-home services that offer clinical services to all family members
- Increasing the Departments' internal capacity to respond to families impacted by IPV
- Development and provision of cross-training to the DCF workforce and community partners to collaboratively respond to IPV
- Assessing, addressing, and meeting the needs of low, moderate, and high-risk families
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Knowledge of evidence-based programs for vulnerable populations (e.g. substance misuse, in-home parenting programs, mental health services, intimate partner violence, at-risk youth)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven knowledge of promising practices as related to program improvements to new and existing services
- The ability to maintain accurate records and compile statistical data from data dashboards in real-time
- Knowledge of the Violence Against Women’s Act and the implications for providing direct services to families impacted by IPV, IPV community services, and programs available in Connecticut (specifically the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) and the Injury Prevention Center)
- Knowledge of DCF's organizational structure and relationship between the Department’s mandates and the Department's contracted provider network
- Experience managing a budget for contracted services
- Knowledge of the Provider Information Exchange (PIE)
- Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences
- Knowledge of Trauma and its impact upon the brain development
